Rob's Story
This sits right between a Pimm's Cup and a Gimlet, but tighter!
The cucumber and mint bring freshness, but the structure comes from the split base. Pimm's adds depth and spice, while the gin sharpens everything up and keeps it from drifting too soft.
Muddling with the syrup first helps extract clean flavor without overworking the greens, keeping the drink crisp instead of vegetal.
Ingredients
Scale:
1 –2 slices

Method
1
Muddle cucumber with rich syrup in a shaker.
Muddle with syrup first — extracts clean flavor without overworking the cucumber.
2
Add mint and gently press to release aroma.
Press gently, do not muddle — mint goes bitter and vegetal if overworked.

Add lime juice.
4

Shake with H2O croutons for 10–12 seconds.
10–12 seconds6
Fine strain into a chilled coupe.
Pro Tips
Muddle cucumber with syrup first — cleaner extraction, less vegetal.
Press mint gently. Overworked mint goes bitter.
Fine strain into the coupe so cucumber and mint bits stay out.
